Background

The Construction Quality Assessment System (CONQUAS) is a national assessment system governed by the Building Construction Authority (BCA) of Singapore. It was introduced in 1989 for the purpose of provide quality workmanship to building projects. The assessment system is currently at its 9th edition since its launch. It continues to provide a high standard of quality in building works to assure end users of a safe and quality product. Various stakeholders such as developers and contractors have also benefited from this assessment program allowing them to assess high standards within the construction industry and reaping benefits from achieving their intended goals. CONQUAS is now even recognised internationally and is currently a registered trademark in Singapore, Malaysia, China, Hong Kong, United Kingdom, Australia, South Africa, and India.

 

Course Objective

Learners will have a good understanding and concept of how to prepare for a CONQUAS assessment after the end of this short course. They will also understand the important key points which assessors may focus on during the assessment.

 

Course Outline

This short course will prepare learners on the important steps to take in order to achieve their targeted results for the CONQUAS assessment. The course will look at important aspects of any management process, which includes, planning, roles & responsibilities, scope etc. The course will also share on important preparation works and common pitfalls which may affect the final scoring of the CONQUAS assessment. It will also touch briefly on how scores are tabulated and the various key contributors of score moderation and/or score loss.

Certification

An e-Certificate of Attendance will be issued to participant who complete the course with 100% attendance. 

 

Replacement/Postponement

A notice of replacement / postponement together with the full particulars of the new participant (for replacement) must be given to us AT LEAST 3 working days before course commencement. A charge of S$50 (replacement) or S$100 (postponement) will be imposed on such changes. 

 

Cancellation

A notice of cancellation must be given at least 3 working days before commencement of the course and 50% of course fee will be charged /returned. If notice is given less than 3 working days before the first day of the course, there will be no refund/100% charged.
