Introduction
Do you want to be effective in handling employees’ grievances such that they would become more encouraged in the fairness of company management and as a result become more motivated in their work ? Do you want to be more confident in disciplining recalcitrant employees such that you would see improvements in their work performance and behaviours? If so, then this is the workshop you should attend.
We will share with you effective grievance handling procedure and disciplinary action that you can take with a view to making improvements in the performance of your employees. If your company is unionised, you will also learn how to work with Union to resolve issues arising from such employees’ grievances and disciplinary action.

Acknowledge and respect the validity of issues brought up by unionised employees.
Know the formal and informal leaders in the Union and acquaint yourself with them.
Communicate regularly with Union representatives who constantly file grievances.

Speaker Profile
Chow Kwok Wah
Kwok Wah is a seasoned and respected Human Resource Management (HRM) and Human Resource Development (HRD) professional with over 30 years of experience spanning large organizations in the manufacturing , service and high technology industries. He has been Head of Human Resource functions in major public listed companies like Neptune Orient Lines Ltd and ComfortDelGro Corporation Ltd of Singapore which have significant international operations and Fortune 100 companies like Honeywell Inc and Federal Express Inc of USA. His tenure as Human Resource Director of Honeywell Asia Pacific based in HongKong saw him operating in major Asia Pacific countries of Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, India, HongKong, Taiwan, China, Korea, Japan , New Zealand and Australia. Before ascending to this position, he has specifically held positions as HR Director for Honeywell Southeast Asia and Honeywell HongKong/Taiwan. His regional role in Federal Express as Head of HR for South Asia covered countries from the Middle East to Southeast Asia and Australia. Most recently, he has undertaken HR leadership assignments at SMRT Corporation Ltd and Asia Capital Reinsurance Group.
With his vast experience in diverse industries and countries, he regularly conducted training in HRM and HRD in the companies he worked with. He is able to impart real experiences to the audience and brings to life the HRM theories, concepts and practices. He is a dynamic, powerful and culturally sensitive speaker on HRM and HRD.
Kwok Wah holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Singapore and was the first batch graduate of the Diploma in Training and Development Management awarded by the Singapore Institute of Management and the Institute of Training and Development (United Kingdom). He is also a professional member of the Singapore Human Resource Institute (SHRI). He has lectured in postgraduate HRM courses for SHRI. From 2000 to 2004, Kwok Wah has been the Chairman of the Shipping, Transport and Logistics Industry

RegisterCertification
An e-Certificate of Attendance will be issued to participant who complete the course with 100% attendance.
Replacement/Postponement
A notice of replacement / postponement together with the full particulars of the new participant (for replacement) must be given to us AT LEAST 3 working days before course commencement. A charge of S$50 (replacement) or S$100 (postponement) will be imposed on such changes.
Cancellation
A notice of cancellation must be given at least 3 working days before commencement of the course and 50% of course fee will be charged /returned. If notice is given less than 3 working days before the first day of the course, there will be no refund/100% charged.
