Course Outline
The following topics will be covered in this seminar:
The Nature of Construction Claims: Our speaker will begin by examining the nature of construction claims, including common types of claims that can arise in construction projects and how they relate to workplace safety and health.
Recent Caselaw on Workplace Safety: Next, participants will learn about recent caselaw concerning workplace safety and health, including notable cases and key legal principles that can help inform how to mitigate safety-related risks.
Safeguarding Your Rights: Finally, our expert speaker will provide practical guidance on how to safeguard your rights under contract, tort, and insurance for safety-related risks. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of how to navigate legal and contractual issues related to workplace safety and health.

Speaker Profile
Christopher Chuah
Partner, Wong Partnership LLP and President, Chartered Institute of Building, Singapore (CIOB)
Christopher Chuah is a Partner in the Infrastructure, Construction & Engineering Practice and Partner in the International Arbitration, China and Myanmar Practices of Wong Partnership LLP. In January 2018, Christopher was amongst the inaugural batch of select practitioners to be appointed Senior Accredited Specialist in Building and Construction Law by the Singapore Academy of Law for his years of experience in construction matters. He was amongst the first batch of adjudicators to be accredited under the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act (Cap 30B, 2006 Rev Ed). He is also a member of the Construction Adjudication Accreditation Committee and co-editor of the Singapore Construction Adjudication Review. Christopher has also acted as leading counsel in many landmark construction cases. He is also an adjunct professor in Construction Law at the Law Faculty of the National University of Singapore.

Safeguarding your Rights under the Workplace Safety and Health Act
RegisterCertification
An e-Certificate of Attendance will be issued to participant who complete the course with 100% attendance.
Replacement/Postponement
A notice of replacement / postponement together with the full particulars of the new participant (for replacement) must be given to us AT LEAST 3 working days before course commencement. A charge of S$50 (replacement) or S$100 (postponement) will be imposed on such changes.
Cancellation
A notice of cancellation must be given at least 3 working days before commencement of the course and 50% of course fee will be charged /returned. If notice is given less than 3 working days before the first day of the course, there will be no refund/100% charged.
