BTCC | Basic Traffic Control Course trains individuals to safely manage road traffic at worksites on LTA roads. Participants will learn practical skills for effective traffic control, ensuring public safety and compliance with LTA regulations.
The BTCC training course is designed for workers or anyone assigned to work on LTA roads. These individuals must be trained on how to control road traffic safely at their worksite entrance and along all LTA roads in Singapore. According to LTA Code of Practice requirements, only trained and competent personnel are allowed to be involved in roadwork-related traffic control and must be fully conversant with safe methods of placing, operating, maintaining, and removing devices on the roads.

For workers or any site personnels involved with road works, tree cutting, traffic control working on / near / adjacent to the roads or construction site access (especially those involved in roadwork projects/ building construction traffic controllers).
Proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
Numerical proficiency equivalent to ES level 2.

Important Note
Participants must wear their own PPE (safety boots/shoes) for the practical lesson. Those without the required PPE will not be permitted to participate in the practical lesson or assessment
A Statement of Attainment (SOA) will be issued to candidates who are certified competent in this competency unit.

Certification
Only participants with 100% attendance will be eligible to sit for the assessment. BTCC Safety Pass endorsed by SCAL Academy will be awarded to participants who successfully completed the course and passed the assessments
Replacement/Postponement
A notice of replacement / postponement together with the full particulars of the new participant (for replacement) must be given to us at least 3 working days before course commencement. A charge of S$50 (replacement) or S$100 (postponement) will be imposed on such changes.
Cancellation
Written notice of cancellation is required & is accepted up to 03 working days prior to course start,before commencement of the course and 50% of course fee will be charged/returned. If notice is given less than 3 working days before the first day of the course, full fees will be charged and there will be no refund.
