Psychological First Aid (PFA) is a valuable skill for professionals and non-professionals in the construction industry who may encounter colleagues, friends, or family members who have been impacted by distressing events. This course is designed to teach participants how to provide support and assistance to those in need, without requiring any prior knowledge or experience in psychosocial or mental health.
Upon completing the course, participants will have the knowledge and skills needed to provide effective psychological first aid to their colleagues and others in the construction industry, and will be able to establish human connection in a compassionate and non-intrusive manner. This course is ideal for those who want to learn how to better support their colleagues and others in times of crisis in the construction industry.

Mst Touhida Mubarak
Mst Touhida Mubarak is an experienced professional in the fields of human rights, humanitarian aid, social work, writing, and research. With a background in law, she made the decision to shift her career towards social work in order to improve the quality of life for all people, particularly those who are vulnerable. Through various volunteering and internship opportunities, Mst Touhida has gained insight into the challenges faced by ultra-poor and vulnerable individuals, both physically and mentally. She has worked with a diverse range of people, both in her home country and internationally, including in India, Nepal, and Malaysia. For nearly two years, she served as a Psycho-social Support Officer at the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society in partnership with the Danish Red Cross, where she focused on the humanitarian needs of Rohingya refugees. These experiences have motivated Mst Touhida to promote mental health and provide support to those in need. Currently, she is working as a Mental Health Education Specialist at HealthServe, a medical NGO based in Singapore. In this role, she works to educate and raise awareness about mental health among migrant workers, and develops curricula to train various stakeholders. She is dedicated to empowering the mental well-being of migrant workers and has gained the ability to understand and appreciate cultural diversity through her experiences.

An e-Certificate of Attendance will be issued to participant who complete the course with 100% attendance.
Replacement/Postponement
A notice of replacement / postponement together with the full particulars of the new participant (for replacement) must be given to us AT LEAST 3 working days before course commencement. A charge of S$50 (replacement) or S$100 (postponement) will be imposed on such changes.
Cancellation
A notice of cancellation must be given at least 3 working days before commencement of the course and 50% of course fee will be charged /returned. If notice is given less than 3 working days before the first day of the course, there will be no refund/100% charged.
