If you are a registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) in Singapore, it is important to renew your WSHO certificate at least 60 days before it expires. In this guide, we will provide you with a step-by-step process on how to renew your certificate, including the requirements, fees, and related eServices.
You will need to renew your WSHO Certificate 60 days Before expiry.
You can renew your WSHO Certificate at MOM’s WSH eServices Portal.
The WSHO Certificate Renewal will cost $60 (Inclusive GST)
Fees are non-refundable, regardless of the status of your application.
Processing time may take up to 4 weeks.
40 SDUs must be from categories 1, 2 or 3 subject to the maximum number of SDUs allowed for each category.
If you submitted more than 40 SDUs, you will not be allowed to carry forward any excess SDUs.
Be taken against plain white background without shadows.
Be taken within the last 3 months.
Show your full face without headgear.
Headgear worn in accordance with religious or racial customs is acceptable, but must not hide your facial features.
Be in JPG format.
Be about 150 Kb in file size.
Have the dimensions 400 px (width) by 514 px (height).
If the individual is employed as a Full-time/Part-time WSHO or WSH Personnel within the last 2 years, he/she can claim maximum 20 SDUs under this category.
WSHO may attend accredited training activities such as WSH related workshops, seminars, conferences, and formal studies to attain SDU points.
WSHO may fulfil the full 40 SDUs requirements through attending accredited training activities.
WSHOs who contributed to WSH in other areas:
Participation in professional boards, committees or societies - 4 SDUs per appointment
Professional membership - 2 SDUs per organization
Trainer conducted WSQ accredited courses - 2 SDUs per lecture hour
Writing and/or editing papers - 5 SDUs per paper
Awarded patents - 10 SDUs per patent
Attended selected unaccredited WSH training, including internationally recognized courses/conferences - 1 SDU per 2 contact hour
Contributed to WSH at national/industry level - 1 SDU per 2 contact hour
WSHO may only claim up to 10 SDUs from any of the above mentioned Other WSH contributions

You can log in to MOM’s WSH eServices SDU portal to check your current SDUs or submit new SDUs.
Processing time: Up to 4 weeks. May take longer if more information or documents are required.
Ensure that your address and contact details are correct
Choose Renew Certificate to submit your renewal.
Pay the $60 fee online. Your application will only be processed upon payment.
Receive the outcome by post. You will receive your WSH Officer registration card by post if your renewal is successful.
You can still renew your certificate if it has expired for less than one year.
However, if you wish to renew your certificate after more than one year of expiry, you can proceed to renew your licence if you meet the following requirements:
Obtained 40 SDUs.
Submit professional work review write-up on your past 2 years’ practical working experience in WSH field of work, including testimonials from employers.
Submit a cover letter on the reason for the lapse in the renewal.
Additional documents maybe required.
