The CSOC Recertification Assessment, provided by SCAL Academy, is a mandatory assessment for construction workers who need to renew their Construction Safety Orientation Course (CSOC) / Apply Workplace Safety and Health in Construction Sites Course (AWSHCS) safety pass. For the first six years, workers are required to renew their CSOC pass every two years. After six years of experience, workers only need to renew their CSOC pass every four years.
The Construction Safety Orientation Course (CSOC) Recertification Assessment is a recertification for those who work in the construction industry and are required to renew their Construction Safety Orientation Course (CSOC) safety pass.
Construction Safety Orientation Course Recertification Assessment is a mandatory assessment for all individuals who are required to renew their CSOC or ACS to continue to work in construction site.
Participant must be a Singaporean, PR or foreign worker with a valid work permit
Participant must have a valid CSOC pass* and must not have failed the full course or recertification exam before
Participant should be able to understand & communicate in language of instruction.
To renew the CSOC/AWSHCS for workers, it's important to verify if it has expired. The training records and expiry status of CSOC/AWSHCS can be checked through the Ministry of Manpower's online service.

Written Assessment: 1 Hour
Practical Assessment: 3 Hours
Participant must bring along the original copy of NRIC / Work Permit and valid CSOC card on the day of exam.

Certification
SCAL Academy will issue safety passes to every candidate who has attended and passed the assessment.
Failing outcome
Participants who have failed their CSOC Recertification Assessment are:
Not allowed to retake this recertification assessment; and
Must enrol and complete the WSH Micro-Learning Programme; and
Must complete the two-days full course in order to get a valid CSOC pass
Important Note
Participants must wear their own PPE (Helmets and safety boots/shoes) for the practical lesson. Those without the required PPE will not be permitted to participate in the practical lesson or assessment
SCAL is recognised by the Commissioner for Workplace Safety and Health, Ministry of Manpower, as an Accredited Assessment Provider to conduct recertification assessment for Construction Safety Orientation Course (CSOC).

Replacement/Postponement
A notice of replacement / postponement together with the full particulars of the new participant (for replacement) must be given to us AT LEAST 3 working days before course commencement. A charge of S$50 (replacement) or S$100 (postponement) will be imposed on such changes.

Certification
SCAL Academy will issue safety pass which is valid for 2 or 4 years to trainee who is assessed “Competent”.
