Continuing Education and Training (CET) for Workplace Safety & Health-Related Trades

The objective of this course is to update candidates with the current development in Workplace Safety and Health. In this course, candidates will learn the latest Regulation, Code of practice, innovation on safety and good industry practices related to Workplace Safety and Health. Upon completion of the course attendees will recieve a Certificate of Attendance as a documentation proof for Coretrade renewal registration purposes.

Workers registered under the Multi-Skilling Scheme or Direct R1 are qualified as “Higher Skilled” R1 workers under the Ministry of Manpower (MOM)’s Foreign Worker Levy Scheme. “Higher Skilled” R1 workers under the Ministry of Manpower (MOM)’s Foreign Worker Levy Scheme will recieve subsidised levies. You may wish to check on BCA CWRS website for your worker's eligibility before enrolment https://www.bca.gov.sg/cwrs/

  • Demonstration of new and safe Installation method, material, tools and equipment

Delivery Methods

• Online training via ZOOM platform (Compulsory : Video and Audio to be on at all times for attendance taking)

• Trainees are encouraged to have a Laptop/ Desktop Computer for ease of learning 

• Training Links (no passwords needed) will only be send 1 day before course starts when all entry requirement are met

 

Pre-requisites

Trainees attending the CET must meet the following criteria:

  • Each trainee must be a Multi-Skilling personal doing RENEWAL under the Multi-Skilling (Safety) Pathway in trade category M19 (Trainee must be already assigned in BCA AMS One Stop)

  • Trainees (SPM) looking to upgrade through the enhanced Direct R1 pathway, in the trade category D19

  • Candidates under Coretrade Renewal of Air-Conditioning Ducting Installation are also accepted if valid AN is provided and Coretrade renewal status is not expired.

  • Each trainee must have applied Renewal and have valid Acknowledgement Notice Letter

  • CET Acknowledgement Notice Letter from BCA must be attached during registration or send by email

  • Trainees without valid CET Acknowledgement Notice Letter will be rejected

  • Incorrect trainee details submitted will be imposed a $104 retification charge by BCA

 

Assessments

Written Assignment

• 30 Minutes

• 20 Multiple choice questions

• Submission of answer via Socrative platform

 

Certification

Trainees who have successfully completed the training will be issued with a Certificate of Attendance as a documentation proof for Coretrade renewal registration purpose.

SCAL Members: $123.00

Non-Members: $141.70

Note: Starting June 30, 2024, SCAL Academy will no longer accept cash or cheque payments. Please use credit/debit cards, bank transfers, GIRO or PayNow for payments.

 

Cancellation Policy

For the Continuing Education and Training (CET) for Workplace Safety & Health-Related Trades Course, a processing fee of $33.00 will be applied for any absences or cancellations not communicated at least three days prior to the course date.

Renewal of Direct R1 Process

Renewal of Direct R1 Process
 

 A processing fee of $33.00 will be applied for any absences or cancellations not communicated at least three days prior to the course date.
 

CET Acknowledgement Notice (AN) letter from BCA must be uploaded under Educational Certificate when registering or emailed to us or registration will be Rejected

Register

Replacement/Postponement

A notice of replacement / postponement together with the full particulars of the new participant (for replacement) must be given to us AT LEAST 3 working days before course commencement. A charge of S$50 (replacement) or S$100 (postponement) will be imposed on such changes.

Incorrect trainee details submitted will be imposed a $104 retification charge by BCA.

Trainees without valid CET Acknowledgement Notice will be rejected

Absent trainees without valid reasons will have course fees forfeited
