The Dispute Resolution Mediation Course for Professionals (Module 2) is an intensive three-day program designed to enhance your mediation skills and techniques. Building on the foundational knowledge acquired in Module 1, this course focuses on practical applications, advanced strategies, and cultural competencies essential for effective mediation. Completion of Module 2 is a crucial step towards becoming a Singapore International Mediation Institute (SIMI) Accredited Mediator Level 1.
Effective mediation requires more than just understanding the basics; it demands mastery of advanced techniques and the ability to navigate complex interpersonal dynamics. Module 2 delves deep into the art and science of mediation, equipping you with the tools to handle challenging disputes and diverse cultural contexts confidently.
Through interactive role-playing, simulations, and real-world case studies, you will practice and refine essential skills such as active listening, body language interpretation, strategic questioning, paraphrasing, and reframing. The course also addresses the impact of cultural differences on mediation, providing insights into managing conflicts arising from ethnic, geographical, religious, and other cultural factors.
