SCAL ACADEMY presents the Comprehensive Personal Fall Protection Equipment Inspection Course, designed specifically for industry professionals seeking to enhance their knowledge and skills in conducting thorough inspections of fall protection equipment. Falls from heights remain a significant cause of workplace injuries and fatalities, underscoring the critical importance of proper training and equipment maintenance. This course equips participants with essential expertise in hazard identification, risk assessment, control measures, and the correct utilization, upkeep, and examination of personal fall protection equipment. It is a mandatory requirement for all workers engaged in elevated tasks and aligns with the "Code of Practice on Safe Working at Height" issued by the Manpower Minister.



The primary objective of this course is to empower workers with the knowledge to comprehend the effects of wear, tear, and prolonged use of personal protective equipment (PPE) related to height operations. Participants will learn how to identify the safe usage of such equipment and the crucial need for inspections and a systematic documentation and record-keeping process for all PPE. The course emphasizes ensuring traceability and implementing a robust inspection regime for PPE.

Jonathan How - Quality, Health, Safety, Environment & Training Senior Manager

Jonathan is a highly qualified Occupational Safety, Health, and Environment (OSHE) professional, specializing in industrial rope access. With extensive experience in the field, he has served as a technical advisor for the Singapore Rope Access Association (SRAA) and made significant contributions to the development of the Singapore Standard SS 588 Part I/II. Holding a Master of Science in Safety, Health & Environment from the University of Greenwich, Jonathan is a member of esteemed professional organizations, including the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health, the Singapore Institution of Safety Officers, and the International Institute of Risk & Safety Management. He is registered as a Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) with the Ministry of Manpower and an Environmental Control Officer (ECO) with the National Environment Agency. Jonathan's dedication extends beyond his professional commitments as he actively volunteers with the Lions Club Singapore and serves as a director. An e-Certificate of Attendance will be issued to participant who complete the course with 100% attendance. 



A notice of replacement / postponement together with the full particulars of the new participant (for replacement) must be given to us AT LEAST 3 working days before course commencement. A charge of S$50 (replacement) or S$100 (postponement) will be imposed on such changes. 



A notice of cancellation must be given at least 3 working days before commencement of the course and 50% of course fee will be charged /returned. If notice is given less than 3 working days before the first day of the course, there will be no refund/100% charged.
