Risk Management (RM) refresher course

This half-day workshop serves as a refresher on key aspects of Risk Management (RM), focusing on enhancing participants' understanding of the latest safety protocols and risk assessment practices. The course begins with an overview of safety and health policies, followed by an in-depth look at relevant Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) legal requirements, including the WSH (Risk Management) Regulations and the Code of Practice on WSH Risk Management.

 

Participants will also explore the changes introduced in RMCP Version 2.0. The workshop covers the RM process, emphasizing hazard identification, risk assessment, and risk control methodologies. Further, it provides insights into the practical implementation of risk controls through in-situ assessments, the development of safe work procedures, and the evaluation of control measures.

 

Objectives

The objective of the Risk Management (RM) Refresher Course is to provide participants with a comprehensive update on key aspects of Risk Management. The workshop is designed to refresh participants' understanding of Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) legal requirements, including the WSH (Risk Management) Regulations and the latest updates in the Risk Management Code of Practice (RMCP Version 2.0). Participants will enhance their knowledge of risk assessment, hazard identification, and control measures, as well as practical approaches to implementing these controls. By the end of the session, participants will be able to effectively communicate risks, maintain a detailed risk register, and present a robust risk management plan that ensures workplace safety and compliance.

Speaker Profile

Rachel has vast experience in the Construction Industry. Starting off as an Electrical Engineer, her expertise in progress works includes project and maintenance works, specializing in LTA streetlighting, HDB BTO projects, and various A&A works.

She went on to undertake various certifications in Workplace Safety and Health and is currently a registered MOM Safety Officer and Auditor. Rachel is also a certified ISO auditor and frequently conducts external audits for various companies in Singapore. As an active trainer with SCAL Academy, Rachel facilitates various courses such as Risk Management, Managing Workplace Safety and Health in Construction Sites (previous CSCPM), and Safe Management Officer Course during the Covid pandemic.

Having a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, coupled with a Degree in Construction Management, has allowed for this trainer to understand the needs of audiences who attend her course. Her specialization in Construction has allowed her to relate to the challenges that industry stakeholders face.

Certification

An e-Certificate of Attendance will be issued to participant who complete the course with 100% attendance. 

 

Replacement/Postponement

A notice of replacement / postponement together with the full particulars of the new participant (for replacement) must be given to us AT LEAST 3 working days before course commencement. A charge of S$50 (replacement) or S$100 (postponement) will be imposed on such changes. 

 

Cancellation

A notice of cancellation must be given at least 3 working days before commencement of the course and 50% of course fee will be charged /returned. If notice is given less than 3 working days before the first day of the course, there will be no refund/100% charged.
