Course Description

The Safety Orientation Course (Tunnelling) for Workers aims to introduce workers to recognize common safety and health hazards and take the necessary preventive measures to avoid injuries and diseases while working in tunnels. Under the Factories (Safety Training Courses) Order 2001 which came into effect in June 2001, all workers, including Singaporeans, must undergo a Safety Orientation Course (Tunnelling) for Workers before they are allowed to work in tunnels.

Course Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

Target Audience

Workers carrying out work in a tunnel, building and/or engineering construction worksite.

 

Pre-requisites

Attendees must have attended and passed the CSOC | Apply WSH in Construction Sites Course.

Certification

Only participants with 100% attendance will be eligible to sit for the assessment. ID card will be awarded to participants who successfully completed the course and passed the assessment.

Non-Members: $45.84

Funding Information

Training provider will submit trainee details via SSG Training Provider Gateway and will bill in NETT fee if trainee is eligible for training grant. Note that all grants are subject for final approval by SSG.

Replacement/Postponement

A notice of replacement / postponement together with the full particulars of the new participant (for replacement) must be given to us AT LEAST 3 working days before course commencement. A charge of S$50 (replacement) or S$100 (postponement) will be imposed on such changes. Appeal of Assessment Result: (a) Students who wish to appeal for review of assessment results, please fill the Assessment Appeal Form that can be downloaded from website. There will be an admin fee of $60.00 (incl GST, non-refundable).
