What is the WSH Coordinator Refresher Training?

The WSH Coordinator Refresher Training is a comprehensive course designed to refresh and update the skills of practicing WSH Coordinators. It includes an online eLearning component followed by a one-day in-person workshop. By completing this training, participants will enhance their WSH knowledge and competencies, ensuring they remain qualified and capable as WSH Coordinators. The course culminates in a Certificate of Participation, valid for two years.

 

Course Description

The WSH Coordinator Refresher Training is a two-part training involving an online eLearning component, followed by a one-day mandatory in-person workshop. It is intended for WSH coordinators in all sectors to have the essential and updated WSH knowledge and skills to competently perform their duties. Participants will gain a better understanding of their role as a WSH coordinator and enhance their current competencies through this training. Upon completion of the refresher training, participants will be awarded a Certificate of Participation, valid for two years. 

 

Target Audience

  • All practising WSH Coordinators from all industry sectors

 

Course Topics

  • Understand the roles of a WSH Coordinator based on the powers and responsibilities assigned in accordance with WSH Regulations

  • Identify the common worksite activities as well as the risks and hazards related to the work processes

  • Comply with WSH Act, legislative requirements as well as Singapore Standards/Codes of Practices

  • Conduct risk control measures based on the identified hazards of the worksite activities

  • Perform the roles of a WSH Coordinator which includes the implementation of the risk management plan for a safe and healthy workplace

  • Ensure effective communication on the implementation of WSH Management System

  • Continually improve on the WSH Management System based on feedback on evidence and identified gaps

  • Implement good WSH practices onsite

  • Manage the identified incidents onsite with established procedures which include emergency response plans

  • Execute the effective management and control of contractors onsite based on the evaluation and selection criteria of contractors

  • Curated case studies based on the different high-risk sectors (Construction, Marine, Oil and Gas, Manufacturing, and Transport and Logistics)

 

Course Structure 

  • 10 modules of online asynchronous e-learning

  • 7 hours of in-person training

 

Pre-requisites

Have completed the Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B) and possess a vaild Level B Certificate

 

Important Notes

Attendees are required to complete all 10 modules of the asynchronous e-learning via the e-learning platform before or after attending the in-person training. 

All Attendees are required to upload a copy of their Level B Certification/or equivalent during registration. Attendees who fail to upload a copy of their Level B Certification/or equivalent may be withheld from taking the course.

 

Certification

A certification of participation will be issued to participants who completed 10 modules of asynchronous e-learning and the in-person training with 100% attendance.

Certification

A certification of participation will be issued to participants who completed 10 modules of asynchronous e-learning and the in-person training with 100% attendance

 

Replacement/Postponement

A notice of replacement/postponement together with the full particulars of the new participant (for replacement) must be given to us AT LEAST 3 working days before course commencement. A charge of S$50 (replacement) or S$100 (postponement) will be imposed on such changes. 

 

Cancellation

Notice of cancellation must be given at least 3 working days before the commencement of the course and 50% of the course fee will be charged /returned. If notice is given less than 3 working days before the first day of the course, there will be no refund/100% charged.
