Overview:

LTA Contractor Construction Supervisors played pivotal roles on sites and are often key in influencing and shaping the safety culture and behavior of workers, this course aims to enhance their WSH knowledge and aligning with LTA SHE requirements.

 

Course Information

  • This course is mandatory for every construction supervisor who works in LTA worksites.

  • Includes experiential learning (six stations) on common construction hazards e.g. fall from height, struck by machinery, etc.

  • Upon successful completion and passing of the assessment, trainee will be issued an ID card and is valid for 5 or 6 years from the date of course completion.

           - Trainees who complete the course in 2026 will receive a ID card valid for 6 years.

           - Trainees who complete the course in 2027 will receive a ID card valid for 5 years.

 

Course Objective:

  • Interpret and apply supervisor’s responsibilities under WSH Act and Regulations

  • Understand and implement LTA SHE requirements effectively;

  • Improve WSH supervision and communication skills;

  • Apply incident prevention strategies;

  • Familiarize and apply ZAP LTA Zero accident Action Plan such as Near Miss reporting, ABSIS etc

  • Learn from past serious construction incidents/accidents

Pre-requisites:

Have completed the Building Construction Supervisor Safety course (BCSS) or WSQ WSH Management in Construction Industry.

  • MCQs / Short-Answer Questions (Pass Mark: 80%)

 

Trainer profile:

Trainer from LTA’s Project Safety, Health & Environmental Governance Office with deep expertise in SHE regulations, industry standards, and best practices. Skilled in occupational safety legislation, hazard identification, risk assessment, and emergency response protocols, delivering practical guidance to enhance safety culture and compliance within the construction and infrastructure sectors.

Replacement/Postponement

A notice of replacement / postponement together with the full particulars of the new participant (for replacement) must be given to us AT LEAST 3 working days before course commencement. A charge of S$50 (replacement) or S$100 (postponement) will be imposed on such changes.
