An effective Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) committee has a diverse and representative membership, clear roles, and consistent management support. It actively engages in regular inspections and accident investigations, promotes safety through guidelines and activities, and empowers members with the training and authority to identify, assess, and resolve workplace hazards collaboratively. Key elements include clear roles and responsibilities, regular and well-documented meetings, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
The aim is to give the participants an opportunity to learn and understand the importance of types of safety audits in construction, and the various tools and techniques which can be utilized to effectively identify and mitigate risks, improve safety culture, and create safer work environments for all employees.
