WSH Safety Induction Training for PUB

Background

PUB Safety Professionals play a pivotal role on site and are often key in influencing and shaping the safety culture and behavior of on-site personnel. This course is designed for safety personnel working in PUB worksites.

Course Information

• The programme includes experiential learning across six stations, focusing on common construction hazards such as falls from height, struck by machinery and other typical site risks. These hands-on learning stations provide participants with practical exposure in a safe and controlled environment, reinforcing hazard awareness and safe work practices.
   
• Upon successful completion of the course, trainees will be issued an E-Certificate.

Course Objectives:

• Interpret and apply supervisor’s responsibilities under WSH Act and Regulations
• Understand and implement PUB SHE requirements effectively
• Improve WSH supervision and communication skills
• Apply incident prevention strategies
• Learn from past serious construction incidents/accidents

Training Content & Simulator Stations

The training programme will comprise the following simulator stations:

• Six (6) standard CSOC Stations

(i) Fall into Opening

(ii) Pinned or “Crushed” by a heavy construction machinery

(iii) Confined Space

(iv) Suspension Trauma

(v) Tilting scaffold experience

(vi) Electrical System

• One (1) Ergonomics Station
• Traffic Management Station

Trainer from SCAL Academy with deep expertise in SHE regulations, industry standards, and best practices. Skilled in occupational safety legislation, hazard identification, risk assessment, and emergency response protocols, delivering practical guidance to enhance safety culture and compliance within the construction and infrastructure sectors.
