The Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B)/Safety Coordinator Course is a professional qualification designed to advance careers in the field of workplace safety and health, specifically for those aiming to become Safety Coordinators. This course equips learners with the knowledge and skills necessary to identify and control hazards in the workplace, implement effective safety policies and procedures, and cultivate a positive safety culture. Upon successful completion, participants will be qualified to apply for positions as Safety Coordinators or Workplace Safety and Health Coordinators (WSHC) in the construction industry.
To attain the Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B) from SCAL Academy, learners are required to complete the following competency units and be certified competent:

This course is specially designed for supervisory personnel tasked with assigned coordination and supervisory role in WSH responsibilities:
Site Supervisors
Safety Supervisors
Operation executive/supervisors/managers
1. Workplace Proficiency Literacy and Numeracy Level 5 or GCE “N” Level English grade 5 & Mathematics grade 5; AND
2. Possess Certificate in WSH (Level A), or any one of the following industry supervisor certificates:
Supervise Construction Work for WSH or Workplace Safety and Health Management in Construction Industry
Supervise Marine Work for WSH or Workplace Safety and Health Management in Marine Industry
Supervise Manufacturing Work for WSH or WSH Management in Manufacturing Industry
Supervise WSH in Process Plant or WSH Management in Chemical, Process, Pharmaceutical Industries and Laboratories
3. Have at least 1 year of WSH relevant working experience; AND
4. Completed 2 Pre-Requisite Modules, with 1 module coming from Group 1 (Industry Modules: BCSS/SSSC/OPISC/BISH/BCSST) and 1 module coming from Group 2 (Soft Skills: PI/IM/TEM)
Participants who do not possess a supervisory certificate and/or a soft skills certificate may obtain them from SCAL Academy.

155 Day Course
Training provider will submit trainee details via SSG Training Provider Gateway and will bill in NETT fee if trainee is eligible for training grant. Note that all grants are subject for final approval by SSG.

Certification
Participants who are certified competent will receive WSQ Statement of Attainment (SOA) and Full Certification by SSG.
Replacement/Postponement
A notice of replacement / postponement together with the full particulars of the new participant (for replacement) must be given to us AT LEAST 10 working days before the course commencement. A charge of S$50 (replacement) or S$100 (postponement) will be imposed on such changes.

Minimum 15, Maximum 25
Cancellation
A notice of cancellation must be given at least 10 working days before commencement of the course and 50% of course fee will be returned. If notice is given less than 10 working days before the first day of the course, there will be no refund.
