Overview
Demolition works typically involve tearing down of buildings or civil engineering structures. The improper handling of demolition works can give rise to various risks and environmental impacts. Demolition management plan should be developed to mitigate the potential risks from identified work hazards as well as the environmental impacts resulting from the demolition works. As land is scarce in Singapore, the management plan should also include the measures to reduce waste sent to the landfills and incineration plants via the reuse and recycling of demolition debris and materials.
